Seltzy

Doing some character studies for a comic idea. This dodgy-looking individual is the mastermind behind the project.
These images are painted in Photoshop from small FB photos, no tracing or roto.

CthulhuDoll…

Lovecraft’s most infamous character oozes many disgusting things. But among them is raw, cephalopod charisma.
I’ve been working on a cute version of the green brute today, Here are some composite jpegs.

Found this track while looking around for another file. – sounded OK so I thought I’d share it.
It’s a cover of a Polly Harvey tune made a few months back.

The voice is a little more mushed than I’d prefer, I didn’t have the nerve to croak my own vocals and opted for the Mac OS vocal synth instead.
The result is still satisfyingly creepy though.

Please enjoy.

Made back in 2002 using Cubase VST for System9 and an Akai S6000, this is one of my first ever completed tracks.  Music programming can be an equally frustrating and rewarding thing to learn – the slow tempo of this track may may reflect a need for something more soothing after days of my own trial-&-error at 140bpm.
